Dog Clock Swan Corner Animal Hospital was established in 1997 as a new facility designed to handle all forms of medical and surgical procedures involving companion animals. Dr. John Spodick has had ten years of experience working with exotic animals, dogs and cats. Our technicians have also been in the veterinary field for many years.

Our hospital features a full-service surgical suite, isoflurane gas anesthesia, and EKG and pulse oximeters for monitoring patients during surgical procedures. Dr. Spodick is proficient in soft tissue surgery. And if necessary, we have formed associations withSugery Room surgical specialists who come to our hospital to perform complicated orthopedic procedures. We also has a sensitive and modern radiographic facility, specially calibrated for use with dogs, cats and small exotic animals. Most X-rays can be taken and evaluated in minutes. Complicated cases can be E-mailed to a consultant and evaluted quickly.

In addition to separate hospital wards for dogs and cats, Swan Corner also has a special climate controlled ward for birds and reptiles and an isolation ward for quarantine of animals with the most serious diseases. Seriously ill animals can be monitored in our fully equipped treatment room with state of the art equipment.

Cat RoomSwan Corner also has recently acquired an in-house laboratory for fast and accurate results for blood testing. We also have 4 separate laboratories which run more intensive testing if necessary. We take pains to send our labwork to specialists who have the most experience with exotic animals for the most accurate diagnoses.

Prescriptions can be quickly filled from our in-house pharmacy. If giving pills is a problem, we have built associations with compounding pharmacies, who can make liquid forms of many medications. We carry Advantage, Frontline, Interceptor, Heartguard, and the newest anti-parasitic medication: Revolution.
